IT Security made in Germany ("ITSMIG") was established in 2005 on the initiative of the German Federal Ministry of the Interior (BMI), the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology (BMWi) and representatives of the German IT security industry, and became a registered association in 2008. "ITSMIG" pursues the goal of a joint external presentation of the companies and institutions participating in the working group to politics, business, science and the public on a German, European and global level respectively.
